General helpful things for readers and my list because I cannot tell you how often I’ve found dead links and posts completely wiped from a blog leaving it an empty husk. Yea, there’s Google Reader, but that only gets you so far provided that you were subbed to a blog prior to it’s deletion.

1. Just stop deleting all of your posts and videos and leaving an empty blog/vlog. There are people out there who would absolutely love to check out your blog/vlog but cannot do so unless they have Google Reader for blogs. There is no such thing, to my knowledge, for vlogs, unless someone has downloaded every single video from every series out there and uploaded them on another channel, which is completely doubtful.

2. On that note, please, PLEASE stop deleting your blogs and vlogs. No one can watch deleted vlogs, even if they try to use something like Google Reader. And no one can read you blogs that way unless, as previously mentioned, they were subscribed to you before you deleted your blog. And there have been some good blogs that have just been up and deleted without anyone really getting to read it. Sure, people can try and look up the URLs (which is why regardless if it’s been deleted, I still have it on my list) on Google and look at the cache of the blog, but that’s not always 100% complete or up to date…

I don’t see why you guys just can’t leave your blogs and vlogs alone :l I can get that you don’t like them, but there are people that really just wanna read and watch all that they can. So, please, don’t password protect or delete your blogs/vlogs X.x; It also kind of mess up the list, too…

3. Please have a readable blog. And by that I mean have a layout that is easy on the eyes and have the text and background that will not blind people and that will go together rather nicely.

4. Please, for the convenience of your readers (and myself), leave the follows thing on your actual blog if you use Blogger/Blogspot. For me, personally, I follow too many blogs for Blogger to register some of them all the time, which makes it hard for me to make as complete list of blogs as possible if I don’t have all of them followed. And, for some reason, I cannot use the follow button on the top of the page for whatever reason (prob’ly because I actually follow more that the allowed blogs that you are suposed to XD;), so, make it easy on me, guys.

5. If you run a vlog, please, always back up your videos and save copies of them on a flash drive or something as well as on your PC/Mac/etc. Just in case Youtube decides to be a dick and take down your videos or because there’s that one asshole or small group of assholes out there that find your video “offensive,” at least you’ll have it and can possibly upload it to something like Veemo.

6. Also, for your videos, if you do to use music, make sure that it’s alright for you to use it. You really don’t wanna have to re-edit your video because Youtube took down your video because you didn’t have the rights to use whatever song is was that you used. So, try to find freeware music or make your own.
